The N80MSN furnace series represents ACiQ's standard 80% efficiency furnace, designed for homes equipped with a metal exhaust flue. For homes with a plastic or PVC flue, it is recommended to opt for a furnace with 90% or higher AFUE, such as the N96MSN series.
The ACiQ N80MSN0451412A furnace operates at an input capacity of 44,000 BTU with an efficiency of 80%, resulting in an output of 35,200 BTU. This 80% AFUE rating signifies that 80% of the gas used is utilized for heating, while 20% is lost through the flue piping and normal furnace operations. As typical for 80% efficiency furnaces, it requires metal flue venting; for plastic/PVC venting, a furnace with 90% efficiency or higher is needed. The unit comes configured for natural gas, but an LP conversion kit is available at an additional cost.
