System Compatibility
The EVD5X61M24A coil is built for compatibility with both AC-only condensers and complete HVAC systems. In certain applications, this coil may be intentionally oversized compared to the condenser to improve system efficiency. However, it should never be undersized. This coil must be used with a compatible blower or furnace and cannot operate independently.

This 80% AFUE rating means that 80% of the gas consumed is utilized for heating your home, with the remaining 20% lost through the flue piping and normal furnace operations. Metal flue venting is required for all 80% efficiency furnaces; for plastic/PVC venting, a furnace with 90% efficiency or higher is necessary.
