ACiQ 4 Ton 15.3 SEER2 Air Conditioner Condenser Inverter 230V R454B ACIQ-48-AC-B
The ACIQ-48-AC-B is a 4 ton, 15.3 SEER2 air conditioner condenser built around a variable-speed inverter compressor and R454B refrigerant. Instead of cycling on and off at full capacity, the compressor speeds up and slows down to track real-time demand, and ACiQ's Learning Condenser technology monitors indoor and outdoor temperature, duct pressure, and refrigerant temperature during startup to fine-tune performance going forward.
Rated at 48,000 BTU of cooling with up to 3,037 CFM airflow and as low as 65 dBA of operating sound, this condenser can also throttle down to roughly a 1 ton unit when full capacity isn't needed, making it a good seasonal AC-only option for homes that already have another primary heat source such as a boiler or fireplace. It runs on a 208/230V single-phase circuit and weighs 218.48 lbs.
Key Features
-
Variable-Speed Inverter Compressor - Self-adjusts BTU output to match real-time demand instead of cycling at full capacity.
-
Learning Condenser Technology - Monitors temperature, duct pressure, and refrigerant temperature during startup to optimize future performance.
-
15.3 SEER2 Efficiency - Rated 15.3 SEER2 / 9.8 EER2 for lower cooling operating costs.
-
48,000 BTU Cooling Capacity - Delivers 48,000 BTU of cooling with up to 3,037 CFM of airflow.
-
Quiet Operation - Runs as low as 65 dBA, noticeably quieter than a fixed-speed condenser at full load.
-
R454B Refrigerant - Uses the lower-GWP R454B refrigerant charge required for current equipment.
-
Down to 1 Ton Operation - Inverter design lets the compressor throttle down for seasonal AC-only supplemental cooling.
-
208/230V Single-Phase Electrical - Runs on a 208/230V 1-phase 60 Hz circuit with a 40 Amps max breaker.
Important Refrigerant Safety Notice: This unit uses R454B, an A2L mildly flammable refrigerant. It must be paired with a compatible, A2L-rated indoor coil or air handler equipped with proper leak detection. Please call 1-888-557-9206 with any compatibility questions before purchasing or installing.
ACiQ 4 Ton Central Ducted Air Handler Multi-Positional Variable Speed R454B ACIQ-48-AHD
The ACIQ-48-AHD is a 4 ton central ducted air handler designed to pair with ACiQ’s variable-speed inverter condensers. A variable-speed DC blower and onboard communicating controls let the air handler track the condenser’s output in real time, modulating airflow to match the home’s actual heating and cooling load instead of running at a single fixed speed.
Rated for 48,000 BTU with up to 1,601 CFM airflow and sound levels as low as 53 dBA, the ACIQ-48-AHD installs in upflow, downflow, or horizontal left/right orientations and accepts an optional 8/10/15/20 kW electric heat kit for supplemental or backup heat. It runs on a 115V/208V/230V single-phase circuit and weighs 190.92 lbs.
Key Features and Benefits:
-
4 Ton / 48,000 BTU Capacity
Sized to move air for a 4 ton condenser in small to medium-sized homes.
-
Variable-Speed DC Blower
Modulates airflow to match the connected inverter condenser’s real-time output.
-
Multi-Positional Design
Installs upflow, downflow, or horizontal left/right to fit the ductwork on hand.
-
Quiet Operation
Runs as low as 53 dBA for less noticeable indoor sound.
-
Optional Electric Heat Kit
Accepts 8, 10, 15, or 20 kW heat kits (sold separately) for supplemental or backup heat.
-
R454B Refrigerant Compatible
Built for use with current R454B split systems.
Installation Requirements
This air handler must be installed with a compatible ACiQ condenser and, for electric heat, a separately sold heat kit; it cannot operate as a standalone unit. Disclaimer: This air handler is intended for use with R454B refrigerant systems, which are classified as A2L. To comply with safety standards, this unit must be paired with an R454B condenser and system equipped with a leakage detection system. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in safety hazards and could void the warranty. Please call us at 1-888-557-9206 if you have any questions.
