The Goodman 80% AFUE R32 Gas Furnace provides 40,000 BTU of reliable heating with a multi-speed ECM blower motor for energy-efficient airflow. It features a heavy-duty aluminized-steel dual-diameter heat exchanger, single-stage gas valve, and durable hot-surface igniter for dependable operation. The quiet, single-speed draft inducer ensures smooth airflow, and the self-diagnostic control board simplifies troubleshooting. With installation flexibility, California Low NOx compliance, and AHRI Certification, it delivers effective, long-lasting home heating. Not suitable for certain California regions.

In California, many counties have stricter NOx emission standards than the rest of the United States. The GR9S800403AX Goodman gas furnace is compliant with California's Low NOx regulations. Featuring a built-in low emission filter, this furnace reduces the amount of nitrogen oxides released into the atmosphere, contributing to a decrease in toxic greenhouse gases emitted from the average California home.

Please note, this furnace cannot be installed in the following counties in California: Fresno, Joaquin, Kern, Kings, Los Angeles, Madera, Merced, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Stanislaus, and Tulare. I wasn’t to sure about if this company could deliver it quickly but it arrived within a week. No issues. I needed this one for parts as my first one that I installed a year ago had the ecm go out on the blower fan. Parts are hard to come by for this Chinese brand. I think the ecm went out due to condensation in the main supply plenum dripping onto fan motor. I do like this ac unit but hope the fan lasts longer than a year. I covered the fan ecm with flex seal tape.
